The BBC and Thai news outlets are reporting that a Thai air raid targeted a casino in Cambodia.

An unconfirmed video clip shows, what it is claimed, are Thai F16 fighter planes attacking a building in, what is believed to be in Cambodia’s Preah Vihear province.

A report from the BBC says that ‘When asked about the casino at a press conference earlier, Thai army spokesperson Winthai Suvaree said that it was a “command centre for drones”.’

Thai news outlet The Nation states that unnamed Thai sources said that the building had been used by Cambodian forces as a base for drone operations and long-range heavy weapons.

It is believed that the building was actually empty.

The Royal Thai Airforce said it had deployed fighter jets to strike several Cambodian military positions — including suspected command posts and fire-support sites — in order to suppress what it claimed was continued fire into Thai territory.
